The Qiu Magazine‘s information, is organized in six different Categories: Arts & Design, Events, Lifestyle, Sports, Travel and World News. Each one of them are divided into different Subcategories. And, when required, each Subcategory includes alternative Themes. It’s important, since you can select specifically where to find the information you are looking for. At the same time, at Home Page there is a Slider that gives you a continuous display of Articles already posted.
If you prefer, you can look around a spcific Theme, to know other related Articles posted in this section. There is an aditional area — Tidbits — that resumes all the content already posted, according with the most preferred ones, in a Last-to-First chronological order. Following you’ll find a sequence of the steps to follow inside The Qiu Magazine, since you Access ahead.
Following, there is a simple description of the resources and how to manage them for a best result when required. Also, there are some Tools, useful for a quick access and selection of the requested information: Archive Explorer, Back Issues’ Content, Cover Pages’ Gallery, Easy Navigator and Timeline Index.

This is the first contact with The Qiu Magazine. In the center of the page its displayed the Cover Page‘s Image.that represents the present Issue, running last week along . There are included all the Articles posted from Monday to next Sunday. At the left of the Cover Image there are shown — in vertical text — the lapse previously referred to. Clicking on the Cover Page’s Image you’ll be addressed to the Home Page. There you’ll find the complete content and different Tools detailed in next topics.
If you prefer to directly access from the Cover Page to any Category, Sub-category or Theme, you can do it through the Main Bar, located above the Cover image.
In the Home Page, you’ll be able to learn about the content of all the Categories of The Qiu Magazine. At the head of the page it’s located a continuous Slider, showing the last Article posted and a sequence of an important number of previous ones. Besides the Image, each Article includes the Date and the Title. Located at the upper-left of the image, there is a small overlay rectangle, in each category color. It shows the Subcategory or Theme where it belongs to. The continuous Slider can be stopped, hovering on the image — with a zoom effect — and click it to access to the Article selected. You can also move the Slider manually — back and forth — clicking on the Arrows located on both sides of the image.
On the right of the slider image, there are three different static Images Titles and Dates of their content. Those are the last three most readed articles of a pre-selected Category, that changes from week to week. You can access them, clicking on each Image.
Below the Slider, there are displayed six different sections. Each one includes the Image, Title and Date of each Category’s latest posted: Arts & Design, Events, Lifestyle, Sports, Travel and World News. There are displayed the latest, followed by the four previous ones. Clicking on them you’ll be sent to the selected Article. At the center of the page, there is displayed a larger Image. It’s a selected Photo of a previous issue’s posted article. Besides the are three pre-selected Articles you can read clicking one each one’s images.
Below the whole page, you’ll find a Latest Posts Gallery, including an all-the-categories carousel, of the last thity six Articles already posted. Also, you can access to any one, clicking on the selected image.
The Top Area is common to all Pages and Posts. That means that you can access it in any moment you decide to do it, without leaving the place you are at. This area includes — at the top-left — a Trending Display, that continuously shows the latest news. You can go to the referred Article, by clicking on the text.
Following to the right, you’ll find the Icons of a selected group of Social Network pages where The Qiu Magazine is subscribed to. You can access them by clicking on the image of each one.
On the extreme right of this area, there is a Search tool. You must write the word /s of what are you looking for. Immediately are displayed — vertically — all the latest articles related with this word /s, including a small Image, the Date and the Title of them. If you click on the Magnifying Glass Icon, it will be displayed a complete Page List — in a Chronological Last-to-First — articles, matching with this word/s and including the same information.
Under those Tools, you’ll see the Qiu! symbol, the name and the objective of The Qiu Magazine: Quality selected information. There also is the Main Bar. It shows the Home section and six Categories: Arts & Design, Events, Lifestyle, Sports, Travel and World News. Besides, there is an additional one: Tidbits. It’s a synthesis of the whole content’s most readed articles, from Last-to-Fist criteria. When hovering on each one of the names at the Main Bar, there will be displayed vertically, the sub-items and the ones of them, if any.
If you Click instead of hovering, it will be displayed the Category Sheet of each one included in the Main Bar and Tidbits. Those Sheets represent — in Images and Text — all the content of those Categories and let — by clicking on them — to directly access to each Sub-category. There is also displayed a brief explanation of the Content of the selected Category or Tidbits.
Under the Main Bar there are shown — in a progressive information — the place you are located at, within the site.
The Bottom Area — as well as the Top one — is always visible, in all the Categories, Sub-categories, Themes, Pages and Posts. In a very dark-gray background, there are shown: About, Popular Posts and Flickr Images. The first one includes the Q Logo and The Qiu Magazine name, followed by a brief description about its Objective and Content. The second displays three of the most popular Posts published. The third and last one, let you access Flickr selected Photo Images.
At the bottom of this area are described The Qiu Magazine‘s Symbol and Content Copyrights, as well as the Email to let you contact the site..
The Sidebar is a column located on the right of the page. It’s always visible, in all Categories, Sub-categories, Themes and Pages. The only exceptions are the Category Sheets and some pages, as Cover Page access, Cover Pages’ Gallery, Issues’ Content Access, Navigation Tips and Terms & Conditions.
From Top to Bottom, it includes: A self Adjustable Clock, with the time registered in your device. / An add-space / The Translator to eight pre-selected languages / A Search Tool / The latest Recent Posts Titles. / A Popular, Recent and Top Reviews articles already posted, including Image, Date and Title / The Latest Image Galleries / An Easy Navigator / The previou Issue’s Cover Image with the Week / Year and the lapse Dates and The Cover Galleries’ Access..Clicking on the image of Previous Issue, you’ll be directly addressed to the whole previous Issue‘s Content. Clicking on the small Red Q Symbol under the previous image, you´ll be addressed to the Covers’ Galleriy Access.
This Column could be customized according to the Category where it’s displayed at. Nevertheless, the basic described Tools are always updated..
It’s a very simple Tool located in the Side Bar, that lets you jump to a desired starting Category Sheet, Tidbits, Home, Search or Quit from the site. Each Category and Tidbits, are identified with its Color and the other connections are Black.
This Tool is located at the bottom of the Sidebar, so it will be always accessible, where you be within the site. When clicking on one of the Categories or Tidbits you’ll be sent to the Category Sheet of the selected one.
Through the staring Category Sheets all the content is visible. In a full width display it shows — in Images Text — the whole content of each Category and the one of Tidbits. From left to right, there are shown — in alphabetical order — all the Sub-Categories included in each one of them. When clicking on Images — that represents each one of the Sub-categories — you’ll be addressed to them, where all of its Themes can be accessed. After the last Sub-category image, there is a brief description about its content.
Clicking the Gallery block it sends you to a Gallery Mode display of each Article, showing the Image, followed by posted Date, Title and a few lines of content, ordered from last-to-first criteria. If doing it on the Text block, you have the option to access in Text Mode, to Articles grouped by Year / Month / Day and Title, in a chronological order. There, you’ll be also able to learn about Sub-Categories and Themescontent, by selecting the apropriate Bar with the same criteria.
At the left-bottom, a pair of Color Double Arrows, identify the previous and the next Category Sheets. Clicking on one of them you’ll be able to visit all the Categories, step by step. Between them, a Color Small Letter symbol sends you to the same Category in Only Text Language page.
In this way, you can learn about the whole content of this Category in a TimeLine, Last-to-First chronological display. For returning from Text Mode to Gallery Mode, do it by clicking on the diagonal-right-top arrow in a colored-square, to manage in a differen mode, relevant information previously accessed.
The design of each page differs from one to another according to the communication objective of each one of them. In the navigation process you’ll access to a typical model that will be repeated in all Categories and Sub-categories. The first image that can be seen ia a Navigator Block. This tool lets you move horizontally in each desired content. The block is colored with the one of each Category and it displays the image where you come from, when selected this page. The vertical text in a lighter color, identifies all the Sub-categories or the Themes included in this page. The selected one is displayed in a White text.
Under the Block there are different Icons to let you freely move. The Color Square Arrows send you UP to previous level or DOWN to the next one. The horizontal Black Arrows let you go from the first to the next up to the last option or return in the same way. When the Arrow is preceded or followed by a vertical bar, they advert you that it’s the First or the Last one to select within this Block. Each time you click on one of the Arrows, the Color of the vertical text — within the Block — changes to White. If you want to Jump to previous or next Category — without returning to the Category Sheet — you can do it clicking on the Color Double Arrows, located at the beginning and the end of the icons’ group. Besides, there is included a Color Small Letter, that let you go to this same navigation point in OTL – Only Text Language. And return when desired clicking on related Color Square Diagonal Arrow.
After those steps, you’ll see displayed the information desired in different shapes. Squared Images with text to identify Sub-categories or Themes. The Articles in a Last-to-First order or any other way to better express the content of this section. In most of pages, this information is followed by a Category, Sub-category or whole site’s Galleries, to let you access to different Articles posted in each case.
Clicking on the Arrows that appears when hovering on the first or the last Image of the Gallery, it will move to the requested direction, showing all the Content. Clicking on the selected Image you’ll be sent to related Article.
All the Articles are illustrated with an Image that follows the Title and the Date it was posted. And in a very small text — on the top-right — the Category, Sub-category and Theme it belongs to. Clicking on them you can directly access to the referred information in OTL– Only Text Language. At the bottom of the Article there are shown the Source, Author, Date, Media and Image/s Credit of the ones shared. Below the previous information you’ll see a Week/Year symbol to access to this Issue’s content and an Easy Navigator Symbol that will send you to related Category Sheet.
Besides you’ll find the selected Social Media Icons and an eMail symbol, to share the Article through them. Below, there are shown the Titles of the Previous and Next Articles already posted, to let you access them by clicking on its Title.
Back Issues’ Access.
You can go to Back Issues Access, clicking Home at the Main Bar and then, the referred page. There, click on the requested Year, identified in one of the Red squared blocks. Once opened, select the Week / Year of the desired Issue and you’ll be able to access to its page.
To return, click on the ‘Q‘ Symbol at the bottom of this page and you’ll be sent to the Back Issues’ Access page.
Once the Issue ‘s Page is open and Clicking on the Cover image, you’ll go to the Cover Story. There, you can read it or return. In this case, at the bottom of the selected Post you’ll find the Week / Year symbol of the Issue where it belongs to. Selecting it, you can return to Issue’s Page. If you want to explore the whole Issue’s Content, look at the Timeline List. located below the Cover image. Next, you’ll find the Image, Date, Category, Title and First Lines of text, of each Post. They are ordered from the Last-to-First posted. Clicking on any Image you can access to the related Post and return clicking on the Week / Year symbol, at the bottom of the post page.
Back into the Issue’s Page, you can select the Month / Year symbol and access to the Cover Pages’ Gallery. There, are included all the Issues included in this month lapse. Selecting the related Cover Image, you can return to Issue’s Page.
Clicking on the ‘Q‘ symbol, you’ll be able to return to starting Back Issues’ Access page.
Cover Pages’ Gallery.
Go to Cover Pages’ Gallery through Home at the Main Bar. Once there, selecting the Year / Month, you can access to all Cover Pages included in this time lapse, from Monday to Sunday of each Week. You can select the one of your preference and learn about the Cover Story and all the Articles included in this Issue. In case you decide to explore a different lapse, at the bottom of the page there are a Left and Right Arrows, that let you go — month by month — to the desired one, in a chronological order.
Between them you’ll find a small Red ‘Q’ Symbol that lts you return to the Cover Pages’ Gallery
The Archive Explorer is a useful tool that can be accessed from Home in the Main Bar. There, you can select the Content of any Category, Sub-category or Theme. It was created to include more information in less space, so it was developed in OTL – Only Text Language. In every moment and following the required steps, you can jump to navigation through Images and return when desired to previous language.
Each Category is represented by a Color. The last one — Tidbits — is not a Category but a synthesis of all previous ones, including most visited Articles. When selecting one of them you can access to its Sub-categories and their Themes. Note that Vertical Bars are identified with its Name, and they have a different top-shape to help you know where are you located at. Along the navigation, a Timeline List — showing all the articles posted at this level — will be displayed, following visual instruments at each step. They are organized by Date, from Last-to-First one posted.
After selecting a Category, by clicking on its Vertical Bar you’ll see different bars in its color. They represent the Sub-Categories. Those Vertical Bars have a top triangular shape. Clicking one of them, you’ll arrive to the third level where are located its Themes, that can be selected. If you want to return to previous level, click on the Color Triangle, and you’ll return to the Sub-category. In the same way, clicking on the Color Square you’ll return to the Category, where you started the search.
In the Category level, you can go from one to another with a Jumping Double Arrow, in the color of the previous and the next one. The Black Left and Right Arrows are used to move within it. At the bottom, there is a Color Square Diagonal Arrow to let you go to the illustrated content page of this level. If you desire to return, click a Small Color Letter located at the bottom-right of related navigation buttons.
Within all levels, a Color Square Double Arrow can be clicked to go to the related Category Sheet. There, you’ll see — through identified images — a general view of its whole content. T start Image Navigation, click on on the selected one and you’ll access to Sub-categories and Themes.
Go ahead, now you can completely manage the Archive Explorer. If you want to experiment its functions by yourself, above this chapter there is an Explorer Sample, linked to actual content of The Qiu Magazine.
Then and whenever you want, by clicking on the Red ‘Q’ Symbol, you’ll be able to return to the start of process.
